Project duration: When re-roofing we want all projects to flow very smoothly. Below is a list of things to help understand the re-roof process and the procedures involved. When a shake roof is removed we must install solid sheathing. This work is performed on the same day as the tear/off. If you are having an asphalt composition roof installed your project duration will take about 3 to 4 days. Tile roofs will take between 7 to 10 working days depending on steepness of roof and complexity of the project. Metal roofs usually take between 5 to 7 days. Our average re-roof is between 3 to 5 days.
When re-roofing we want all projects to flow very smoothly. Below are a list of things to help understand the re-roof process and the procedures involved.

Arrival Time: Our normal arrival time is between 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. However times can vary due to weather, etc.

Landscape Protection:
We can cover any shrubs or plants that you may have concerns about if requested. We can also use plywood to protect larger shrubs or small trees such as Japanese maple, etc. We will need access to your side yard and back yard for debris removal and work around the eave areas. Please close all windows during the duration of your project.

Garage Area Protection:
When removing a shake roof, there is the possibility of a small amount of debris falling into the garage. To prevent any damages we ask that all vehicles be removed from the garage. You have the option of having ACS Roofing install plastic sheeting to the inside of the garage to prevent dust from settling on your personal belongings. Please let your sales representative know if you want this option. We do clean out the garage after the roof removal with gas blowers and this performs a very good job of removing any dust and debris from this area. We can cover any scrubs or plants that you may have concerns about if requested. We can also use plywood to protect larger scrubs or small trees. (Japanese maple) etc. We will need access to your side yard and back yard for debris removal and work around the eave areas. Driveway Access We will need access to the driveway for the roof removal and loading the materials for the new roof. We also like to park a small utility trailer in the driveway during the duration of the project for debris collection. This prevents unnecessary debris left on the roof from falling on the ground or possibly blowing away.
                                                                                                             
Pets: Put pets in a safe place, as we will need access to side and back yard areas and we don’t want any run away animals.

Pools & Spas: Cover pools, spas, hot tubs, ponds. Turn off pool/spa pumps during the tear off day. ACS Roofing can assist you with this if requested.

We use magnets on wheels to pickup any loose nails or staples. We thoroughly clean each project daily and upon final completion. You can feel safe and comfortable with ACS roofing as your Contractor.
